1. What is required to rent an aircraft from Aviation Atlanta?
It is simple to rent an airplane from Aviation Atlanta. We will get some basic information from you (copy of state issued photo ID, copy of pilot certificates, a completed "pilot data sheet" from Aviation Atlanta, proof of a Flight Review within the past two years) and you will need to complete an operating handbook worksheet which is available on our website. Our insurance policy requires the written worksheet and a checkout with an Aviation Atlanta flight instructor for three landings and some flight maneuvers that represent the type of flying you will be doing. The insurance company requires Aviation Atlanta pilots to fill out an operating handbook worksheet along with the flight checkout with an Aviation Atlanta flight instructor. 3. Am I covered by Aviation Atlanta's insurance when I rent an aircraft?
Our aircraft are insured for their value with a $5000 deductible. Renter pilots and students are not listed on the insurance policy of Aviation Atlanta. We strongly encourage you to obtain personal pilot insurance before using our aircraft.
